6/14
Today we taught the grade 4 p.e. class by ourselves. It started out well—we warmed them up with fun exercises and were being silly. Then we taught them hippo, hippo, lion (duck duck goose), which was a big hit. Below is a picture of them playing! Then we tried to play stuck in the mud next. That didn’t go so well and we had totally lost control of them (all 60 of them), when we were saved by our Zambian peer leader friends!
We went back to the office early and hung out until it was time for pizza! Every Tuesday we go to the pizza place in Woodlands area since there is a special buy one get one free deal. A lot of us went—this time it was Sarah and I, 5 volunteers from Britain (Jodie, Danielle, Helen, Katie, and Charlotte), and the three volunteers we leave with (Mike and Dave from America and Ivy from Holland). Mike and Dave also brought their friend, Steven, from their worksite. So we had a really big group and got 8 pizzas! We finished, don’t worry. It was shower day, so we got to take warm bucket showers and be clean again J
