7/3
I don’t think we could have a lazier day that today. We woke up and made some coffee/hot chocolate and hung out in the kitchen. I took a shower while Chrissy did some laundry, and then I did a load of laundry. We had to tie Snoopy up because of all the clothes he has torn up while they were hanging on the clothesline. Afterwards we just ate breakfast while reading our books. The rest of the day we spend analyzing the questionnaire data and comparing the results from the two different schools. We found some drastic differences.
Then around 4 o’clock Chrissy went up to sit on top of the water tower in the yard to read her book. I joined her a little later and we read our books and watched the sun set over the city. You can see all the way downtown from up there. The smog is so bad that though that the buildings are all really hazy. We could see all the nearby streets in the neighborhood and also see over the tall stone walls into everyone’s yards. It was fun to watch the boys playing barefoot football in the street and the women sitting outside their homes just talking. We stayed up there for about an hour reading and relaxing until it got too chilly with the breeze.
After we made spaghetti, meatballs, a really good sauce, broccoli, and garlic bread – one of our more successful dinners. Then we watched yet another movie, this time it was Ivy’s choice, Valkery. It was a decent movie, kind of intense, but I’m not a tom Cruise fan. I swear every time I see a movie that he’s in I’m just not that impressed. But oh well. We went to bed around 11 because we have a big day tomorrow. We’re going on the community walk with Vasco and Kenny – so exciting!
